For my dad!

I guess my dad has been complaining about his children's lack of blogging, and yes mine has been absolutely pathetic! So this is for my dad!

This evening I was not able to function in my house. Nerf bullets were flying everywhere, and I mean everywhere! I finally ended up leaving and going for a jog! Sometimes I feel like I'm surrounded by to much testosterone (sp?)! Yes, the biggest child in this picture causes the most chaos!

Shocked!

Yes, I am sure that some of you are shocked that I am actually posting on my blog! I have obviously missed several important blog worthy events (birthdays, milestones, Christmas, etc.) But none the less I am bringing you pictures of our sledding adventure!

Since we the snow hit us hard (not nearly as hard as they said it would) we took full advantage and took the kids for a little outing. Luckily Uncle Bert and Aunt Sally have the perfect pasture for sledding behind the pickup! It was so nice outside and the snow was just the right consistency.

Lucy kept trying to get in on the fun as well.

Ben loved every minute of it! He kept falling off and he didn't even care. He would just hop back on and yell "Go faster!" I swear the child is fearless.

This inner tube didn't last very long after this ride! Chad was just a little to heavy!
Max was like a little leach. It was almost impossible to get him to fall off!
We had a blast and can't wait until it snows again.
Hopefully I will be a better blogger, but I'm not making any promises!

Trying to fix things!

Okay so I have been catching a bunch of slack from lots of people about the condition of my blog! You know who you are. So this post is an attempt at "fixing" it and then maybe I will post something, you know, "real".

Flashback Friday

I had to scan some of our wedding pics into the computer the other day because Jolyn was making a video slide show for Lanus and Joe's 50th wedding anniversary so I decided I would post this as a flashback! I guess I never realized how tall I am compared to my mother in law. I don't even have heels on and she does!

Wedding Invite

Ok so most of you probably know that I am taking the suggestion from Annie's blog and posting the poem that my Pa Gramps wrote for our wedding invitations. It meant so much more to all of us that our grandfather was able to be such a special part of our weddings. He is a very talented. man. Thanks Pa.

Remember! Oh remember! It was not too long ago,
A princess with a tilted smile would set our hearts aglow.

But those moments turn to hours, and hours soon depart,
Leaving only treasured memories to dwell within the heart.

It was bound to happen, inevitable some say,
Along would come a handsome prince and carry her away.

The messengers with trumpets were dispatched throughout the land,
To announce the royal wedding as he takes her by the hand.

The people come together, they bow their heads to pray.
And ask for them God's blessing, on this, their special day.

What happens the princess and the charming prince as well?
Why that's a storybook ending that only a tongue can tell.

We have them fast in Heart's fortress, justice swift and true,
We can only keep them forever, perhaps we can make it two.
